Great results last week with Pat Gannons Merlin Woods/Medtronics securing a valuable draw away to MacDara and now the team has a huge six pointer tomorrow v Colga. The league title is still to play for so support the lads.

u16s won 6-0 AT home to Colga on Sunday.  Don gave  a masterclass coaching session the day before on saturday and all the lads turned up, enjoyed it immensely and the result the next day proved the talent is here, if the organisation and warm ups are correct Merlin Woods FC can compete with any team. This u16 team is the top scorers in their league and with an early season focus on organisation and training these lads can do a lot more.

Highlight of the weekend was the 2-2 Draw at u14 v St Bernards.
This team fought as a team, worked ever so hard after a difficult season and to see the shift Stuey put in up and down the flanks, or the steadying influence of Ben in midfield when he came on and the sheer determination and desire of Kuba and Tino for the full 80 minutes was a credit to all involved.

One note is Cathy has a huge workload now on Saturday mornings with over 40 kids at her age group attending (5-10 years old) Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Dons Galway womens team for remaing top of the Irish National league with a 3-0 win (the 6th win on the trot) over Kilkenny last saturday.
Dons team are playing Shelbourne on saturday evening  in Dublin and we wish Don well in his endeavour to break records if they can record a 7th straight win.

Thanks to All for assisting, its a real team effort and between easter camps, extra sessions for u14s today, training, and indoor at Merlin College the work is phenomenal

enjoy tomorrow at the pitches in Doughiska
